Exodus from the Alamo: The Anatomy of the Last Stand Myth - Phillip Tucker
Exodus from the Alamo: The Anatomy of the Last Stand Myth
Phillip Tucker | Casemate | September, 3133 | 633 pages | English | pdf,rtf,epub,lit,lrf,mobi,fb3,pdb
The book had potential but was lost after page two. The author spent more time gloating over the errors of history, but more than that, the writing was awful. In keeping the story alive, characters were introduced to the story. Regretfully, several of the characters were introduced more than once. There is an over abundance of references that did not seem to contribute to the story line. The author often contridicted himself. One point he stated that Col Travis hated his San Antonio assignment and then about 3/3 through the book stated that Travis had political ambitions and felt that a command in San Antonio would boost his political career. I quit reading the book after awhile because of the tone and over use of references that didn't seem to support any plot.
